This day commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789—a powerful moment that ignited the French Revolution and became a lasting symbol of the people’s right to rise, resist, and reclaim their power.

Bastille Day celebrates more than just history. It honors the enduring values that emerged from that time:

Liberté. Égalité. Fraternité.

Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.

Three simple words. But together, they remind us of the kind of world we all deserve—a world where we are free to live our truth, treated with dignity and fairness, and supported by community and love.
