Dear beautiful readers,
Last week, like so many Americans, I celebrated the Fourth of July with my family—grilled food, fireworks, laughter, and a deep breath of gratitude. Every year, this holiday reminds me to reflect on something profound: the importance of freedom.
As a writer, liberty means the ability to tell the stories I want to tell, to explore the dark and the light, the passion and the pain, the choices and chances that define a life. But liberty is bigger than storytelling—it’s the foundation of dreams. Of love. Of becoming who we truly are.
Liberty doesn't mean life is always easy. But it does mean we get to choose—how to live, who to love, what we fight for, and where we plant our joy.
One of my favorite quotes on this comes from President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who said:
“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed—else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.”
Let’s all remember to water that flower in our own lives today—with kindness, with courage, and with passion.
With love and liberty,

What a nice lovely message about freedom so we may not forget the sacrifices of those people who fought and some of them laid down their lives for it. Hats off to them. Kuodos to Helen!!
